Message	few times when I closed the door but it wouldn't latch, it would just bounce back open. Another symptom prior to the current broken state is that when I tried to unlock the door, I would hear a grinding sound, or some sound that suggested the lock couldn't fully disengage. After the sound stopped (which occurred for about a second), the lock would re-engage.
